Some of the ways you could play Acromania...

Official Rules of Game Play:

1) Separate the alphabet deck and the category deck of cards and shuffle each.

2) Choose a player to go first. (We say ladies first and respect your elders so point out the oldest woman to go first...they'll love that)

3) Chosen player rolls the die then draws and sets the appropriate number of alphabet cards for that rounds acronym. (Numbers on the die represent number of alphabet cards drawn EXCEPT 1=7 alphabet cards)

4) Once Acronym is set, turn over the top category card and pair with the acronym.

5) All players create a phrase they believe best represents the acronym/category pairing and turns their submission over to the person who rolled the die to be read aloud then revealed to the other players.

6) Once all submissions are read and laid out, the players vote for their favorite answer. (No voting for your own answer)

7) Answer with the most votes wins the round and the player that submitted it keeps the category card. (In the event 2 players tie the winner will be decided by a quick round of Rock, Paper, Scissors)

8) The die goes clockwise to the next person to repeat the process.

9) After 10 rounds of play the 2 players with the most category cards (first and second place positions) compete in a final round of play with the remaining players left to vote for the winner from the final submissions.

*If 2 players tie for first they compete in final round, if 2 players tie for second then 3 players can compete in final round.

Recommended for 4+ players, ages 12 and up.

Slacker rules:

1) Separate the alphabet deck and the category deck of cards and shuffle each.

2) Choose a player to go first. (We say choose the biggest slacker so the last person that got out of bed that day)

3) Chosen player rolls the die then draws and sets the appropriate number of alphabet cards for that rounds acronym. (Numbers on the die represent number of alphabet cards drawn EXCEPT 1= the rolling player loses their turn and sits out, while the remaining players get 7 alphabet cards AND...any "X" cards are wild and can be any letter)

(In the event 2 players tie the winner will be decided by a coin toss)

8) The die goes counterclockwise to the next person to repeat the process.

9) After 10 rounds of play the player with the most collected category cards wins.

Crazy Cat Lady Rules

(You will need costume cat ear headband)

1) Separate the alphabet deck and the category deck of cards and shuffle each.

2) Choose a player to go first. (We say choose the person with the most cats)

3) Chosen player rolls the die then draws and sets the appropriate number of alphabet cards for that rounds acronym. (Numbers on the die represent number of alphabet cards drawn EXCEPT 1= the rolling player becomes a cat and must put on the cat ears, give their best cat impression, then pass the die to the next player. The player wearing the cat ears must keep them on and "Meow" after every roll until someone else rolls a 1 and becomes the cat)

(In the event 2 players tie the winner will be decided by a hissing contest)
